"He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth then the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking for the reward." Hebrews 11:26

He(Moses) sought out what has more value than anything, more than any treasure of the world. He considered the reproach of Christ so much greater than receiving great wealth in Egypt.
As I was studying this this morning, it's really encouraged me to walk away from the things this world has to offer me. Riches are not a bad thing to have... but if wealth and riches are placed before Christ, wealth should become our enemy. Anything that comes before the Lord, must cease in our lives. To follow the Lord is to give your life to Jesus, not putting anything before Him.
Because we are living in a faulty, sinful world, it is becoming so easy to focus on wealth, how large your home is, how big your meals are, how nice of a car you own, when really, our focus needs to be on the ultimate reward, Christ; not riches and wealth.

In Ecclesiastes 2:1-17 we find that Solomon pursued fulfillment through pleasure, great works, wealth, artistic pleasures, and fame. Yet all of these failed to bring a lasting satisfaction to the wisest man of all time. And yet people so many years later are still trying them in search for enduring fulfillment. Pleasure, although not necessarily evil, has its shortcomings. Solomon reflected upon his tragic experiences in attempting to draw satisfaction purely out of pleasure.

We see that Solomon was so dissatisfied with life the way he had experienced it, that he decides to try pleasure of the flesh. He is like the many people in this world who look for peace in all the wrong places. He had plenty of money and fame, but that does not satisfy the hungry soul.
True satisfaction comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ. Nothing else in life can fill that void. Solomon had is all; everything this world could offer, yet it did not satisfy.   

 
Proverbs 14:13 "Even in laughter the heart may ache, and the end of joy may be grief."

Wealth can never satisfy you (Luke 12); wealth can be a blessing and means to serve others for the Kingdom of God, but remember, wealth can never ever satisfy you. (Matthew 6:24)

True wealth is a pure relationship with Jesus Christ
